The apartment kitchen
The set’s home turf: a footprint that fits between the counter run and the wall, chairs stowed under the glass between meals.

Catalogue/Tables & Dining Sets/Data sheet
A rectangular glass table and four cushioned faux-leather chairs, engineered so the chairs disappear underneath when dinner is over.
Field notes
This is FDW’s answer to the small-kitchen dining problem: a complete table-for-four that costs less than most single designer chairs. The set pairs a rectangular glass-top table with four chairs upholstered in faux leather over cushioned seats, drawn with the lean legs and clean angles of mid-century modern. The proportions are deliberately compact — this is a set sized for apartment kitchens, breakfast nooks and dining corners rather than formal dining rooms.
The space-saving move that defines it: the chairs are dimensioned to slide fully under the glass top when not in use, collapsing the whole set to roughly the table’s own footprint. Between meals it occupies a corridor-friendly rectangle; at dinner it seats four with cushioned support. Both working surfaces — glass above, PU leather below — wipe clean with a cloth, and assembly follows a numbered-parts manual that assumes no prior experience with a hex key.
The dossier
In a small room, an opaque table reads as a block; a glass top reads as open floor. That is the practical reason glass dining sets dominate the compact-kitchen category. The transparent surface keeps a tight space from feeling furnished to the ceiling, while the dark frame and chairs give the set enough visual weight to anchor the eating corner.
Plenty of sets claim space-saving; this one is actually drawn for it. Chair height, seat depth and the table apron are matched so all four chairs park completely under the top. The difference in a narrow kitchen is not cosmetic — it is whether you can open the oven door or walk past with a laundry basket without relocating a chair first.
FDW ships the set flat with every bolt and washer bagged, a clear manual, and each component physically numbered. It is real assembly — legs, chair frames, seat pads — but the numbering removes the classic flat-pack failure mode of discovering at step 9 that two identical-looking rails were swapped at step 3. One person with an unhurried hour gets it done.
The honest ledger
Deployment
The set’s home turf: a footprint that fits between the counter run and the wall, chairs stowed under the glass between meals.
Mid-century lines and a light-passing top keep a sunny corner feeling like a corner, not a furniture showroom.
A first proper dining set that covers everyday meals now and demotes gracefully to a game table or craft table later.
Owner questions
Yes — it is a proper tempered dining surface. Treat it like any glass table: use trivets under hot cookware and avoid dragging ceramics across it, and it stays clear for years.
Manageable for one person. All hardware ships in the box and every part is numbered to match the manual, which removes most of the usual flat-pack guesswork.
They do — the set is dimensioned so all four chairs slide fully under the top, leaving only the table’s own footprint when not in use.
