The movie corner
The intended home: angled toward the screen, footrest up, and an upholstered surface that forgives popcorn grease and spilled soda.

Catalogue/Chairs & Seating/Data sheet
A single reclining lounge chair in wipe-clean PU leather that goes from box to movie night in about two minutes.
Field notes
The recliner is the lounge piece of the FDW seating range — a single-seat reclining sofa upholstered in black PU leather with a padded seat, padded backrest and a footrest that extends as the back goes down. It is a push-back design, which means there is no lever or handle on the side: you sit, press back against the backrest, and the chair reclines under your weight while the foot extension rises to meet your legs. Sit forward and it returns upright.
FDW’s warehouse habits show in the setup. The chair arrives in two main pieces plus four legs; you slot the backrest onto the base and screw the legs in by hand, and the whole job takes about two minutes with no tools. The PU leather surface wipes clean with a damp cloth — a practical trait in a chair that will host snacks and drinks — and its sunlight resistance is good enough that FDW pitches it for pubs and commercial rooms as well as living rooms.
The dossier
A push-back recliner trades the ratcheting side-lever mechanism for simplicity: fewer moving parts, less weight, a cleaner silhouette, and a lower price. The cost of that trade is that reclining is a body-weight operation — you hold the position by leaning, and the chair sits upright again when you do. For watching a film or reading it is exactly right; for sleeping overnight in the chair, a lever recliner is the better tool.
Fabric lounge chairs absorb what happens on them. PU leather does not: spills bead on the surface and wipe away, pet hair brushes off rather than weaving in, and the black finish hides the scuffs of daily use. The same coating resists fading in sunlight, which is why this chair survives placement near a window better than most budget upholstery.
The assembly count is one backrest connection and four screw-in legs. There is no frame to bolt together and no tool requirement at all — the legs thread in by hand. Of everything in the FDW seating range, this is the piece with the highest comfort-to-assembly-effort ratio.
The honest ledger
Deployment
The intended home: angled toward the screen, footrest up, and an upholstered surface that forgives popcorn grease and spilled soda.
A compact lounge seat that adds a real recline to a corner without the bulk of an armchair-and-ottoman pair.
Its sunlight-resistant PU finish and quick cleanup are why FDW rates it for pubs, salons and small commercial spaces, not just homes.
Owner questions
It is a push-back mechanism: sit down and press back against the backrest and the chair reclines while the footrest extends. Sit forward and it returns upright.
About two minutes. You attach the backrest to the base and screw in the four legs by hand — no tools are needed.
Wipe it down with a damp cloth. The coated surface releases spills, dust and pet hair without special products, and it resists sun-fading near windows.
